<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a lightweight, thin device which saves battery power by arranging cassette tapes on both front and rear surfaces of the device, allowing recording and reproduction, and dubbing simultaneously, and performing mechanical driving with one motor. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and the 2nd cassette tapes are loaded on the chassis 1 and 1' of cassette tape recorder parts I and II. Gears 2 and 2' of the chassis 1 and 1' are coupled directly with the motor, which is fitted to one of the chassis. Further, the chassis, 1 and 1' are fitted with reversible movable gears 3 and 3', idle gears 4 and 4', and take-up payoff reels 5 and 5', and 6 and 6' with which gears 7 and 8, and 7' and 8' are coupled directly. The chassis 1 and 1' are coupled together by fitting plates 9 and 10, and 9' and 10'. The gears 3 and 3' move to the sides of the reels 5 and 5' in the beginning of winding operation and move to the sides of the reels 6 and 6' in rewinding operation. Thus, the twin cassette tape recorder which saves battery power is obtained.</p> |
