PURPOSE:To eliminate the adverse influence by the Ni plating which remains on a moving vane and to eliminate pickling operation by forming the Ni plating layer for preventing seizure on a blank material for the moving vane then forging the blank material having the Ni plating layer at a high temp. thereby obtaining the desired moving vane. CONSTITUTION:An Ni plating layer having about 10-50mu thickness is formed on a blank material for a moving vane prior to forging in order to prevent seizure and thereafter the blank material is heated to a high temp. of about 1,100- 1,200 deg.C and is forged to a desired moving vane. An alloy layer having ductility and good adhesion to the plating layer and the blank material is formed between the Ni plating layer and the blank material by the above-mentioned high-temp. heating. Said layer obviates peeling between said layer and the blank material even if the moving vane is stressed during the working. The operation for pickling away the Ni plating layer after forging is thus eliminated. The forged moving vane is applicable to the moving vane of a turbine and compressor to be subjected to high load. |
