PURPOSE:To prevent deceleration shock and generation of white smoke at a deceleration of an engine by once holding the accelerator opening or fuel injection quantity to a countermeasure criterion and then by reducing the value gradually when the accelerator opening or fuel injection quantity becomes less than the countermeasure criterion against deceleration shock. CONSTITUTION:When an accelerator opening right before a deceleration is less than a deceleration shock countermeasure criterion Accpo, the accelerator opening Accp right before the deceleration is made to be the initial value of the countermeasure accelerator opening Accp' instead of the deceleration shock countermeasure criterion Accpo. When the engine is judged being decelerating, a new countermeasure accelerator opening Accp' is determined by subtracting a certain value such as 0.05 from the countermeasure accelerator opening Accp at that time. When necessity for countermeasuring against deceleration shock is considered, the countermeasure Accp' is made to be the accelerator opening Accp. As shown by the hatched area in the figures, deceleration shock is relieved, and the countermeasure criterion Accpo is changed with the change of the rotational speed of the engine, which allows obtaining the optimum fuel injection quantity for relieving deceleration shock in any rotational speed region of the engine. |
