PURPOSE:To reduce the burden on an operator by allowing a master station to execute polling to each work station at constant intervals of time and obtaining its operation status. CONSTITUTION:A system controller (SC) 12 is equipped with a system configuration register (SCR) which indicates the operation state of respective work stations (WS) 1-7, and when a program is loaded to some WS and the WS becomes ready to operate, its corresponding bit is set to ''1''. The SC 12 sends the polling signal to the WSs 1-7 at constant intervals of time to check whether each WS is in operation or not, and clears the corresponding bit of the SCR to ''0'' when not operated. The contents of the SCR in the SC 12 are transferred to a work station controller (WSC) 13 at constant intervals of time and set in a system status register (SSR) in the WSC. The WSC 13 displayes WSC* on a CRT display device 14 when the corresponding bit of the SSR is set to ''1''. |
