The invention relates to a process and a device for the arcuate shaping of a profile section, the profile section being preformed in the heating bath to correspond substantially to the desired arcuate shape and clamped in the heated and preformed state between two mould templates corresponding to the exact arcuate shape and demoulded after the hardening. Here, the outer mould template has on its exterior side a tensioning band extending in the longitudinal direction of the mould template, the longitudinal ends of which band project over the ends of the outer mould template and can be fastened to the mounting plate.
