PURPOSE:To eliminate scattering of temp. distribution and unevenness from fixation and to improve the finish of copying by installing intermediate taps to the heating conductor of a thermofixation roller and selectively heating the heating conductor in accordance with the width of a copying paper. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a ceramic heater 12 provided with a heating conductor 12b buried in the inside is coated with an offset preventing layer 13 made of silicone rubber, fluororesin, or the like to form a thermofixation roller 11. Intermediate taps 12f-12h lead from intermediate points A, B, C between both terminals 12d, 12e of the heating conductor 12b are installed to select the taps and properly heat the roller 11 in accordance with the size of a copying paper. As a result, scattering of the temp. distribution of the roller 11 is eliminated and accordingly, uneven fixation can be avoided, and a copy good in finish can be obtained. |
