PURPOSE:To achieve an accurate time counting operation while improving the freedom in the design surface with a complete electronization by arranging a number of display elements on the side of the body vertically so that they flashes sequentially from the top to the bottom at a fixed interval. CONSTITUTION:As a signal source 3 outputs a signal of 1Hz when an operation starting command is applied to a start terminal S thereof 3, a flash switch 4 turns ON or OFF at an interval of 1sec to flash a display element 2-1 at the highest position at an interval of 1sec. At the same time, a signal of 1Hz is fed to a counter 5 and each time ten pulses from the signal source 3 are counted, a counting up signal is outputted to shift a changeover switch 6 to the next display element 2-2 position whereby the element 2-2 is flashed as mentioned above. When the changeover switch 6 reaches the display element 2-n at the lowest position, the element 2-n is flashed at an interval of 1sec. At the same time, a timer circuit 8 works to apply a signal to a resetting terminal R of the signal source 3 after 10sec passes to stop the signal generating operation of the signal source 3 and thus, the operation of the sandglass is brought to its end. |
