PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a plating tank, by forming the plating tank of an apparatus for applying the melt-plating of a Zn-Al alloy containing a specific amount or more of Al to the surface of a metal from an Fe-alloy containing Cr in a specific amount of more while indirectly heating a molten bath. CONSTITUTION:The plating tank in which the molten bath of a Zn-Al alloy is received of an apparatus for applying the melt-plating of an Zn-Al alloy containing 0.01% or more of Al to the surface of a metal is formed of an Fe-alloy containing 15% or more of Cr. That is, it is formed of stainless steel such as SUS304, 310S or 316. In addition, the heating system of the plating tank is constituted of such a system that the side surface and bottom surface of the plating tank are heated by the flame of a burner or electric heating to indirectly heat the molten alloy bath through the plating tank in place of a conventional system for directly applying heat to the molten bath. |
