PURPOSE:To eliminate such an inconvenience as dislocation of the transcripting position or breakage of sheet, even when the cutter is stopped temporarily owing to cutting operation for the trailing edge of the sheet, by forming a loop of sheet midway of the transport of roll sheets. CONSTITUTION:When a recording sheet S is unwound and transported from the roll and its leading edge is sensed by a sensor 15, a pair of electromagnetic clutches 18, 16 are deenergized to cause stop rotation of No.2 transport roller couple 14 and a sendoff roller couple 12 while No.1 transport roller couple 13 continues rotating, and thereby a loop S' is formed between said No.1 transport roller couple 13 and No.2 transport roller couple 14. When thereafter a sheet S is to be transported by resuming rotation of the No.2 transport roller couple 14, the sheet S is transported with the loop S' held in the condition as it was because No.1 transport roller couple 13 is also rotating continuously, so that no speed difference will be generated with a dielectric belt 3 in the position of a transcripting charge 8 even though the sheet S is checked by the cutter 11 from proceeding, and thus there is no risk of generation of blur or unevenness. |
