摘要 PURPOSE:To provide an Ni brazing filler metal which has high corrosion resistance and adhesive strength, is inexpensive and is suitable for brazing of ornamental articles, etc. of a corrosion resistant alloy such as stainless steel, Ni alloy or the like by consisting the same of specifically composed Sn, Cr and Ni. CONSTITUTION:An Ni brazing filler metal contains 25-40wt% Sn, 0.5-10% Cr and if necessary contains further 0.3-6% total of >=1 kinds among Be, B, Si, P, Ti, V, Mn, Fe, Ge, Nb, Mo, Pd, In, Ta, W and consists of the balance >=55% Ni. Said metal has the m.p. of about 1,050-1,200 deg.C suitable for brazing, in particular, a stainless steel, Ni alloy, etc. and is hard to corrode and discoloration. The Sn among the above-mentioned components contributes to a decrease in the m.p. but if it is added at above the upper limit, it forms an eutectic alloy of Ni3Sn-Ni3Sn2 and the metal becomes brittle. The Cr improves corrosion resistance. The Be and other additive elements contribute to an improvement in strength, heat resistance, fluidity, etc. and are effective in decreasing the m.p.
