PURPOSE:To improve the yield of the titled substrate by a method wherein silver brazing material is preliminarily electric welded into lead frames to align with the I/O pad of the ceramic substrate on a carbon fixture for brazing in a furnace. CONSTITUTION:A green sheet is made of a slip produced by adding solvent binder and plasticizer to mixture of Al2O3, SiO2, MgO and CaO; conductor pattern is screen-printed; an insulating layer is laminated; another conductor pattern is provided through the intermediary of a through hole for multiple wiring by means of repeating said procedures. A substrate 4 is produced by means of printing an I/O pad 5 on the uppermost layer and baking the layer. A band-like silver brazing material 3 is welded into a lead frames 2 with multiple pins utilizing both end lead to be set to a carbon jig 4 together with the substrate 4 while a cover 1 is closed to braze the lead frame 2 in a continuous furnace at 900 deg.C within the reducing atmosphere. Through these procedures, a ceramic substrate may be manufactured at high yield without any miss location at all with manhours reduced down to around 1/5. |
