PURPOSE:To provide a titled forming device which performs continuously the shape setting of a connecting rod and an operation for forming a reinforcing rib by fitting the connecting rod into the cavity provided on both superposed surfaces of a movable die and a stationary die and grasping the same by both dies thereby setting the shape. CONSTITUTION:A movable die 3 and a cam driver 12 are moved upward and a cam slide 8 is retreated to a chained line position to set the shape of a connecting rod 16 for an internal-combustion engine and to form a reinforcing rib on the outside circumferential part in a large end part 16c. The rod 16 is fitted in the 1st recess 51 of a stationary die 1 by fitting the piston hole h1 and crank pin hole h2 thereof respectively into the 1st and 2nd positioning pins 61, 62. The die 3 and the driver 12 are lowered respectively to fit the 1st recess 51 of the die 3 to the rod 16 and to fit the pins 61, 62 to the 1st, 2nd pinholes 71, 72 of the die 3. The rod 16 is fitted into the cavity C delineated by the cooperation of both recesses 51, and the rod is grasped between both dies 1 and 3, so that the collapsion in shape such as bend or the like generated in the rod 16 by the forming stage for the hole h1, etc. is set. |
