PURPOSE:To provide sharp fine stripes, which do not extend or spread outside the areas determined by slits, by avoiding using a light-scattering film made of a phosphor slurry or the like as a photosensitive film. CONSTITUTION:Black stripes 2 and red, green and blue original color phosphor stripes 3R, 3G and 3B are provided on the inner surface of a glass panel 1. Next, the surface of the three original color phosphors are coated with an organic film 4, a metal back film 5 is formed on the organic film 4 by vacuum-deposition of aluminum, and an adhesive photosensitive film 6 is formed on the metal back film 5 by light irradiation. Next, when light having a wavelength suitable for the sensitivity of the photosensitive film 6 is irradiated by using an exposure mask 8 which is provided with exposure slits 7 at positions corresponding to the positions of index stripes, a diazonium salt contained in the parts 9 of the photosensitive film 6 which are exposed through the slits 7 undergoes photolysis causing isolation and deposition of zinc chloride, thereby making the exposed parts 9 adhesive. After that, when an index phosphor powder 11 and dry air are sprayed from a nozzle 10, the powder 11 adheres only to the adhesive exposed parts 9, without adhering to the other parts of the film 6, thus index stripes 12 are formed. |
