PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a sheet-fed rotary press with turning-over mechanism and reduce its maintenance work by such an arrangement wherein the pressure of a spring is caused to act on a turning-over cam only when turning-over claws are kept closed and a claw shaft is directly rotated by the cam follower of a turning-over claw open-close mechanism. CONSTITUTION:At the time of both-side printing, when the end of a sheet of paper comes to a position opposing to the reversing claw device 24 of a turning- over cylinder 5 and an attracting lever 49, the sheet is rotated by being attracted by them, and by the rotation of a claw shaft 19, a cam lever rotates, and simultaneously when a cam follower comes to a position opposing to a reversing gripper cam, a reversing cam 70 disappears and reversing claws 25 grip the end of paper as they open and close, and they move around together with the turning-over cylinder 5 and turn the sheet of paper over. The pressure of a compression coil spring acts on the reversing cam 70 only when the reversing claws are kept closed and the cam follower 71 of the open-close cam mechanism of the reversing claws 25 directly rotates the claw shaft 19, therefore undue force is not applied to any cam follower and cam, and moment load is small. As a result of this arrangement, the durability of the mechanism is considerably improved. |
