PURPOSE:To always obtain a stable potential with less memory effect caused by repeated charging cycles, by using a specified acrylic resin as a binder in a photoreceptor having a photoconductive layer contg. CdS.nCdCO3 bound. CONSTITUTION:CdS.nCdCO3 is susceptible to the content of carboxylic groups in the molecule of an acrulic resin, deteriorated in dispersion when the content is low, and when high, improved in dispersibility, but the resin, itself, is made liable to vary due to application of high humidity in its insulation performance, so the resin is controlled to give 10-40 acid value. The resin having >=10,000mol wt. and low mol.wt. precipitates rapidly in a dispersion step. Since the glass transition point Tg is within 15-70 deg.C, variations of the envoronmental temp. give a little effect on the characteristics of the photoconductive layer. |
