<p>PURPOSE:To average the power loads, enhance the transmission efficiency and reduce the radiation loss by a method wherein the proper capacity of a heating element is calculated based upon the feed water temperature so as to heat up the water in a hot water storage tank in a fixed time at all times. CONSTITUTION:The capacity Akw of the heating element necessary for heating- up the water in the hot water storage tank in the midnight power supply time of 8hr is calculated by means of an arithmetic unit 11 based upon the feed water temperature t deg.C detected by a feed water temperature sensor 10, the rated heating-up temperature T deg.C and the capacity Vl of the hot water storage tank from the following relationship: A=(T-t)V/(860X8). The heating element 2 is energized by means of a power controlling unit 12 so as to realize said calculated capacity Akw.</p> |
