PURPOSE:To obtain the titled reactor having superior heat conductivity, a superior hydrogen diffusing effect, etc. by forming a plurality of small chambers extending in the axial line direction of a cylindrical pressure vessel in the vessel with a hydrogeon permeable fiber sheet. CONSTITUTION:A porous cylinder 5 permeable to hydrogen and impremeable to metallic hydride is placed in a cylindrical pressure vessel 1 provided with an opening 2 for introducing and discharging hydrogen, and one end of the cylinder 3 is connected to the opening 2 with a filter 6 in-between. A fiber sheet 3 having many hydrogen permeble tiny holes, preferably a carbon fiber sheet is corrugated and inserted into the vessel 1 so that the bent parts contact with the inner wall of the vessel 1 or the outer wall of the cylinder 5, formong many small chambers 4 parallel to the major axis of the vessel 1. Thus the titled reactor is obtd. The chambers 4 are packed with metallic hydride. The cylinder 5 can be elimiated by using a material permeable to hydrogen and impermeable to metallic hydride as the material of the sheet 3, packing some of the chambers 4 with metallic hydride, and using the remaining chambers 4 as hydrogen flowing paths. |
