Exhaust gas return device on an internal combustion engine

A device is proposed for the return of exhaust gas by way of a separate inlet valve (15), at least one of the variables, return rate, start, duration and end of the exhaust gas return being controllable. This can be achieved by means of a variable pressure in a pressure reservoir of the exhaust gas return line, by way of a special throttle valve (35) in the return line (40) and the triggering of the secondary valve. In addition to the exhaust gas return the separate inlet valve may also serve for the separate feeding of the mixture on a petrol engine or of air on a diesel internal combustion engine.
