<p>PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which improves the accuracy in controlling the sizes of rolled materials by detecting the breadth sizes of the rolled materials between stands, and controlling the draft positions of the rolling mills on the lower stream stands and the material tension on the inlet sides thereof in accordance with the deviations between the detected values and reference sizes. CONSTITUTION:The breadth size of a rolled material 5 on the outlet side of an i-1 stand rolling mill 3 is detected with a size detector 31, and from the deviation between the detected value and a reference size, the fluctuations in the height size on the outlet side of the (i) stand are predicted with a controller 33 for rolling reduction and a signal to make the values of said fluctuations zero is outputted, so that the draft position of the (i) stand rolling mill 4 is corrected with a simulating device 35 which corrects time delay. At this same instant, a correcting device 37 for the breadth size regulates the speed of the mill 4 according to said correction signal to control the tension of the material on the inlet side of the mill 4, thereby correcting the fluctuations in the breadth size on the outlet side. Further, the height size of the material 5 is detected with the size detector 32 on the inlet side of the (i) stand to control the speed of the mill 4, whereby the dimensional accuracy of the material 5 is improved.</p> |
