PURPOSE:To increase magnetoresistant efficiency with stability by a magnetoresistive element wherein an Fe-Ni permalloy thin film with given compositions is formed to have a given film depth and pattern width under the given external magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A hairpin-like pattern 2 having a pattern width of 1-100mum and a longitudinal length of 1,400mum is formed using a permalloy thin film which was evaporated under such conditions as permalloy compositions of 75-95% Ni and 25-5% Fe, ground substrate heating temperature 370 deg.C at the time of evaporating, and film thickness of 550Angstrom . At this time, an intensity of the external magnetic field is selected to be 0-1,000 gauss. By so doing, it becomes possible to easily manufacture magnetoelectric transducers with good magnetoresistance efficiency and large magnetoresistant variation rate. |
