<p>A coating compsn. partic. intended for furniture subjected to heavy vibrations and inclination, esp. those found in vehicles, such as boats, trains and planes, comprises a mixt. of a polymer and, based on the polymer, at least 80% of a plasticiser. Amt. of plasticiser is pref. 120, esp. up to 200% of the polymer. The polymer is pref. polyurethane or a vinyl resin such as PVC. The plasticiser is pref. di-octyl-phthalate, di-butyl-phthalate, cyclohexyl phthalate, ethyl phthalate or methyl cyclohexyl phthalate. The compsn. has high coefficient of friction and prevents articles such as cutlery from sliding on the surface of tables. The compsn. can also be used for coating the floor, e.g. bathrooms, bathtubs, swimming pools and the like.</p> |
