Cereal, maize or legume grains are harvested, not as hitherto separated from straw, ears or husks, but, for the most part, together with these with the aid of a field chopper and are then comminuted and only then separated with the aid of a separation apparatus, depending on the permissible fibre content, from the fibrous admixtures or are fed after the comminution, by-passing the separation apparatus, via a blower into a storeroom. The fibrous constituents separated off in this case are either distributed on the field or else supplied to a separate storeroom. |
