PURPOSE:To get rid of the possibility that jamming of an original occurs, by constituting so that an original is statically placed on an original receiving table for making a light beam pass through, and an original read optical system which has been provided so as to be opposed to said table reads the original, moving along the surface of the original receiving table. CONSTITUTION:An original receiving table 2 is transparent, and the surface on which an original is placed is formed in the form of a cylindrical side. A read line 3 for flat-bed-scanning the information surface 1a of the original 1 execute the flat- bed scanning read, running from an original end A to B. The read line 3 is constituted of a surface mirror 5 for changing a direction of a light beam from the information furface 1 illuminated by a fluorescent lamp 4, a contraction lens, and an image sensor 7 which has been installed on the image formation surface of this lens. A rack 8 is constituted so that it rocks centering around a shaft 9. Since the shaft 9 is provided on a center axis of a cylinder whose side is the information surface 1a, the read line 3 scans the information surface 1a in accordance with rocking of the rack 8. |
