<p>A scraper machine for fleshing operations in tanneries is fitted with a radially adjustable beam, carrying an elastic skin support cushion and facing a revolving drum with scraper blades. The cushion can be controlled in its position to suit the thickness of the hide. The hydraulic actuators are manually or automatically operated. This prevents any accidental contact with the scraper drum, and the possible bursting of a pneumatic carrier drum is eliminated.</p> |
