The fuel mixer is located downstream of the carburettor. The throttle valve (2) regulates the mixture flow in the duct (5). The mixer (3) is fixed in position by a collar (4). The mixer is divided into two parts. The first has a converging diameter and the second part a more slowly diverging diameter. The fuel droplets are compressed in the first part of the mixer, and travel at a higher velocity to give a more homogeneous fluid in the re-expansion portion.
