<p>The recessable front panel of a furniture case operates on a set of guide rails fitted to the furniture frame and the plate respectively. The frame is fitted with a rail (3) on either inner side surface carrying a roller (5) on its outside end. The front panel opening is fitted on two rails (4) by brackets (7). The rails (4) fitted to the front panel are fitted on their upper ends with rollers (6). To move the front panel into its open position it has to be swung upwards into the horizontal while the roller (6) on the frame adjacent end of rail pair (4) misses the flange end of rail (3). Once in the horizontal position the front panel can be pushed back into the depth of the frame. Rail pair (4) is fitted with indentations (8) which serve as a stop for the front panel pulled out from the recessed position. To fold down the front panel into the closed position the panel must be slightly raised so that indentations (8) are lifted clear off roller (5), while bracket (9) prevents the two rails (4) from being pulled off the frame fitted rails (3).</p> |
