ANTI-DIABETIC USE OF ANTHRANILIC ACID DERIVATIVES

Pharmaceutical compositions containing anthranilic acid derivatives of formula I, in which R0 is fluorine, chlorine, bromine, nitro or trifluoromethyl, R is hydrogen, C1-6alkyl or C2-4 alkanoyl, and R1 is hydrogen or C1-6alkyl, provided that a) when each of R and R1 is hydrogen, R0 is other than 5-chloro; and b) when R is acetyl and R1 is hydrogen, R0 is other than 5- or 6-chloro, 5-bromo or 5-trifluoromethyl, are indicated for use in treating diabetes.
