The present invention relates to a process for preparing elastic laminates by admixing elastomeric granules with a moisture hardenable polyurethane binder and hardening the binder. The binder is formulated to have a workable viscosity at room temperature and to avoid crystallization at temperatures above about 0 DEG C. The binder is the reaction product of polyisocyanates of the diphenyl methane series having at least 20 wt. % of 2,4'-diisocyanatodiphenyl methane and di- and/or trihydroxy polyethers.
