Designed primarily for use by the amateur handyman, the worktable provides a full width vice with reference holes and stops for mitring etc. It is adjustable for height and inclination. Occupying parallel vertical planes beneath opposite sides of the worktop, the legs constitute twin pin-jointed 'X' frames connected by toe rails. The nearside leg head of each frame is pinned to a cross beam, with the outer heads connected by a tie rod. The rod can slide in co-planar horizontal slots in each of the cross-beams, thus modifying the angle of each 'X' frame to vary the table height. Slot notches locate the rod at definite alternative positions with locking effected by means of a wing nut. A 'U' shaped and notched slot extension enables the top to be set at a definite inclination.
|
