Appts. was comprised of a molding box for forming refractory lining of an inner wall of the titled container made up an irregularly shaped mass of vibrated refractory material with thixotropic fluidity. The molding box was positioned within the container having one hole pierced in its bottom and means provided for opening and closing the hole and vibrating the molding box with the hole being connected to a vessel for vibrating the refractory material.
