A hydraulic motor is used for driving an electric generator. It has four large cylinders which work in connected pairs. Liquid is pumped along the pipe (19) and enters the upper smaller cylinder (14) through the valve (7). The pressure of the liquid raises the piston (15) which lifts the lower cylinder (2, 3). When the piston (15) has reached the top of its stroke, liquid is pumped into the outer lower cylinder (3) which pulls the piston (15) down and forces the liquid out through the pipe (17) to drive a turbine. It is claimed that the turbine generates more power than is necessary to drive the pumps (6).
