Pallet comprises a number of similar rectangular plates with support feet formed on their undersides. The plates are joined together by connectors let into their surfaces. The connectors let into the plate surfaces are in the form of rings while the feet (9) are joined together by sleeves (7) fitting round them and clamping them together. The rings can be rectangular, and the pallet can be built up from pairs of plates one above the other with their feet towards each other. The sleeves are double the height of the feet. Screw bolts can be used to hold the two rings in a pair of plates together.
