PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional supervisory system that falsely recognizes such things as line or pattern painted on ground and shadow of clouds as an object because the conventional supervisory system captures and displays video information from one photographing means. SOLUTION: The supervisory system that supervises an object in existence in a supervisory area, is provided with two photographing means 1-1, 1-2 that photograph a specific supervisory area from separate view points, respective object extract means 2-1, 2-2 that extract an object from video information outputted from the photographing means, a stereoscopic vision processing means 3-1 that calculates a parallax of the object on the basis of object extract information extracted by the respective extract means to calculate the parallax of the object thereby discriminating a stereoscopic object, and a position discrimination means 4-1 that discriminates a coordinate position of the stereoscopic object on a map discriminated by the stereoscopic vision processing means.
