PURPOSE:To enable rapid processing independently of environmental conditions and to stabilize photographic performance by using a developing soln. contg. a specified color developing agent but not contg. hydroxylamine. CONSTITUTION:A color developing soln. contg. a p-phenylenediamine compd. (A) having a water soluble group by >=1.3X10<-2> mol per 1l developing soln. but not practically contg. hydroxylamine (B) is used. A compd. represented by the formula may be used as the component A and a hydroxylamine compd. such as HO-N-(C2H5)2 may be added as a preservative. When a color developer kit is produced, a kit part contg. the component A by 200-600g/l is used and a kit part contg. the component B is not preferably used.
