<p>The flow controller is formed by a by-pass pipe inside the housing of the suction valve (6) through which water is drawn up by a pump from the water chest into the cleaning apparatus. The water is pumped through a cylinder chamber (5) and a pressure valve (12) to a pressure pipe (15) with the bypass pipe linking the cylinder chamber to the water chest. Since a hole does not have to be drilled into the pump cylinder to attach the by-pass pipe, the cylinder is not structurally weakened. The valve in the by-pass pipe is preferably designed so that a spindle (21) is fitted with its tip (22) in one of the holes (17, 18) in the housing which forms the pipe. The suction valve (6) is preferably clamped between the pump housing (2) and the suction plate (4).</p> |
