Conveyor for sterilising jam in pots and tins - has elongated buckets oscillating on chain with perforated sleeve over each bucket

The conveyor is used to transport pots and tins of jam through the sterilising process. It comprises two double chains (1), one each side, with large plate links. Elongated buckets (4) contain the pots and tins; these buckets are of solid construction open at the front and having end plates which are fixed to a trunnion (2) each end which passes through a chain link. Cranked arms (3) connect each bucket to the adjacent link. Each bucket is provided with a perforated sleeve, fitting over it and retaining the contents which the conveyor oscillates through various different positions during the sterilisation process.
