Prefabricated frame, for pictures completed by a glass pane, a canvas or engraving and a panel, or for mirrors, the latter being inserted into the frame by its front part, the said frame consisting of four elements formed from the same profiled rod, characterised by the fact that the said rod has a U-shaped profile; the four elements, which are mutually assembled to each other by flexible means, define an annular recess in which the elements 9, 10 and 11, which complete the picture, are accommodated.
