The cooking vessel (1) with integral electric heating elements (3) is entirely of plastics with the heating elements embedded. The heating elements (3) are of the wire resistance type, may or may not be sheathed, and are in intimate contact with the plastic of which the vessel (1) is constituted. As a result the elements are completely insulated and penetration by cooking liquids is avoided. The elements are built into the walls or the base (2) of the vessel. In the latter case simple electric insulation may be provided by the plastic of the base. The max. temp. of the elements is below the fusion point of the surrounding plastic, and the low thermal dispersal properties of the plastic may be used to derive a vessel with a constant specified and relatively low external temperature.
|
