In a flexible transport and assembly apparatus for pallets, loaded with workpieces to be machined, in machine tools with in each case different work-table heights, it is proposed in order to compensate for these table heights to allocate stationary pallet buffer tables with three or more pallet places to each machine tool and to connect the pallet buffer tables via transfer bridges to the machine work table, all pallet-carrying and pallet-transfer elements being equipped with supporting elements, permitting rolling friction, for the pallets so that the transport of pallets placed on the pallet buffer table to the machine-tool work table is possible by manual intervention. The elements permitting rolling friction, considered by themselves, are known ball rolling elements in individual or rod form. |
