Unifacial knitted articles joined by catch thread - with low material consumption even with wide spacing

Prodn. of the finished article comprises mfg. the two unifacial knitted articles with two gps. of needles which are guided in two needle beds respectively. The two articles are then joined together by inserting a thread which is not used to mfr. the first or second article, in the first and second gps. of needles which are in the catch position respectively. The finished article can be produced on a knitting machine which has two knitting heads with different spacings. Article has high dimensional stability.
