<p>Title cpd. of formula (I):- which has the same vitamin activity (wt. for wt.) as thiamine hydrochloride and has better analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity than salicylic acid, salicylamide and phenylbutazone, and has the advantages of good water-solubility and lack of gastro-intestinal side-effects, is prepd. by reacting thiamine disulphide with an appropriate molar proportion of salicylic acid, opt. in the presence of a solvent or diluent.</p> |
