<p>A band (10) is provided for effecting body temperature changes, locally as well as core body temperature changes. The band (10) includes a shell (20) containing an easily replaceable thermal insert (30) filled with a high thermal capacity substance (200), and may also include thermal insulation (210), a radiant barrier (250), or an insulating air space (270) in order to increase thermal efficiency. The band (10) may be strapped or otherwise attached to a user's body, preferably inside the forearms, directly over the wrists, where core body temperature changes may be effected.</p> |
