The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, improving or treating neurological disorders, containing an osmotin peptide as an active ingredient. Specifically, the osmotin peptide is an osmotin peptide consisting of nine amino acids; when the osmotin peptide is treated, the growth rate of neurons increases, there is almost no cytotoxicity, and apoptosis is inhibited; and when being administered to an animal model, the osmotin peptide penetrates through the hippocampus of the brain, the cerebral cortex, and the hypothalamus, which is a deep part of the brain, and thus the osmotin peptide can be usefully used as a composition for preventing, improving or treating neurological disorders. |
