PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle device in which a coolant is supplied when a tool holder is surely clamped by a draw bar energized in the clamp direction. SOLUTION: A canceling force generating mechanism 30 is provided on the rear side of a spindle 6 from an energizing means 21 for claming a tool holder 5 at the front end of the spindle 6, and some of the coolant supplied from a coolant supply means 3 to the tool holder 5 is supplied to a cylinder chamber 32 of the canceling force generating mechanism 30.
