The invention concerns an apparatus comprising a body (1) wherein is mounted a cylinder (2) inside which an impact piston (22) is guided, the fluid distribution providing the motion of the piston (22) being produced by a distributor (23) housed in a distribution box (3) mounted in the body. The cylinder (2) and the distribution box (3) are entirely contained in the enclosure defined by the body (1), the cylinder (2) is mechanically supported by one of its ends on the body (1), the distribution box (3) is mounted coaxial to the cylinder and is mechanically supported thereon and the surfaces perpendicular to the axis of the apparatus, subjected to pressure, are arranged and dimensioned such that the resultant of the hydraulic forces applied on the parts, cylinder (2), distribution box (3) are directed in the same direction towards a support located in the body of the apparatus, during all the phases of the operating cycle thereof.
