DRIVE ASSEMBLY FOR ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive assembly for an organic EL element which does not require such a TFT element capable of exactly making V-I conversion of the variable quantity of a signal level to a variable quantity of current. SOLUTION: Gradation control is applied during one frame period by using a pulse width fluctuation signal according to an input signal by each one pixel with the drive assembly 10 for the organic electroluminescent element of active matrix constitution. The gradation control is executed by converting the amplitude of the input signal to a pulse width modulation or to the pulse width modulation and amplitude modulation. The gradation control is executed by previously making input with the pulse width modulation signal and expanding the pulse width.
