Electronic circuit boards [1] are transported between two stations on a belt [2] and are submerged within a liquid filled tank [5]. At a specific location within the tank the boards pass over an electrode arrangement [6] that is coupled to a control unit [9]. Each of the boards has a number of small holes that enter the tank filled with air. The electrodes are energised with a high voltage pulse and this causes the air to be expelled.
