PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of excellently forming an image by preventing the leaking and scattering of toner in the end parts of the developing device. SOLUTION: A developing sleeve 1 is rotatably arranged in the opening part of a toner container 3a and a toner supplying brush 4 and a developer flow control member 5 are arranged in a noncontact state with the sleeve 1, in a part nearer to the upstream side in the rotational direction of the sleeve 1 than a position where the sleeve 1 faces a latent image carrier 10. A toner recovering roller 8 is arranged to be in the noncontact state with the sleeve 1, in the part nearer to the downstream side in the rotational direction of the sleeve 1 than a developing region and the upstream side in the rotational direction than the position of the toner supplying brush 4. The toner supplying brush 4 and the developer flow control member 5 are formed so that their lengths in the axial direction of the rotation of the sleeve 1 are shorter than that of the sleeve 1 in the axial direction of the rotation thereof and longer than an image region width on the sleeve 1. |
