摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optic angle controlling element wherein a high degree of information confidentiality is obtained without detriment to a luminance of transmitted light and the optic angle can be changed dynamically corresponding to the necessity of the information confidentiality. <P>SOLUTION: The optic angle controlling element of the present invention comprises a liquid crystal that is twist-oriented generally to 180&deg;, a liquid crystal layer 12 that is so composed as to be electrically controlled, and a pair of polarization layers 11 and 13 disposed one above the other with the liquid crystal layer 12 in between. Optical axes 11p and 13p of the polarization layers 11 and 13 are disposed generally in parallel, and liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer 12 adjoining the polarization layers 11 and 13 are disposed generally in parallel with the optical axes 11p and 13p of the polarization layers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
