In the present invention, an ESD protection device comprises an element body, and a first discharge electrode and a second discharge electrode that are provided in the element body. The first discharge electrode and the second discharge electrode face each other with a gap therebetween. The element body comprises a hollow section that includes the gap between the first discharge electrode and the second discharge electrode, and the first discharge electrode and the second discharge electrode are exposed to the hollow section. A first space on the first discharge electrode side of the hollow section is smaller than a second space on the second discharge electrode side of the hollow section.
